Automated External Defibrillators (AED) are placed with different levels of density over the region. But there is no integrated database available to see in which locations AED are available. Therefore we have started the AED Pointer website where locations of AED are "crowdsourced". Everybody can add AED locations to the site and in case of a cardiac arrest these data can be used by the dispatch centers of volunteers. At the moment (April 2013) 620 AED locations have been added to the database. The contact person for this service is Tony Hosmans (CECOTEPE). Please use the contact form to get in touch with consortium members.
